Census Records
The
Russian
census
records
are
very
useful
in
not
only
tracing
genealogical
lines,
but
also
in
tracing
the
movement
of
the
colonists
from
one
colony
to
another.
The
various
census
records
from
Lincoln,
Nebraska
and
Kansas,
listed
below,
are
useful
in
tracing
the
movement
of
your
ancestors
after
they
arrived
in
the
United
States.
An additional resource for census research can be found at Patrice Miller's German Villages web site, which contains in excess of 100,000 German Russian names extracted from the 1920 U. S. Census rolls. The index is the result of the efforts of many volunteers that are recognized on the site.
