Others Ways to Support Us

American historical society of Germans from Russia

"Our past is in the archives
and records from villages in
Russia, Ukraine and the Black Sea"

Join us in celebration the 250th Anniversary of Catherine's Manifesto that brought to many of the German Russians to the new land.

Our Celebration continues with Convention 2014

The SOAR website is now closed. Obituaries are being transitioned to the FamilySearch website. We plan to have the first of these available on the “SOAR / Research your German Russian Ancestors” web page within a few weeks. More will be added on a regular basis as new “batches” of indexed and verified Obituaries are completed by the FamilySearch indexing volunteers. In addition the “SOAR / Research your German Russian Ancestors” web page has links to Cemetery Records, Homestead Records, and Passenger Lists. More of our former SOAR records will be added over time. Please visit the “SOAR / Research your German Russian Ancestors” web page,

http://ahsgr.org/Find_Your_Ancestors/SOAR_GR_Research.htm
to check out the changes.

Our Mission Statement
