The data in this publication is drawn from Part II (Family numbers 153 through 281) of the 1870-1884 Communion Register for the Volga German colony of Brunnental. Brunnental was established in 1855 by 89 families from Walter, Norka, Kolb, Grimm, Schilling and Pobochnaya. Families continued to relocate to the colony over the next several decades. The families reported in this publication are primarily from this later migration. These families came from Frank, Walter, Kolb, Dietel, Norka, Huck, Kutter, Moor, Balzer, Messer, Anton, Warenburg, and Yagodnaya Polyana. Numerous other colonies are reported as birth locations for individual family members.
