Dear Nominator, The purpose of the Distinguished Service Award is to celebrate exceptional individuals who have had an extraordinary, sustained impact on the Society and/or the Foundation. We invite you to share their story describing their contributions using the following categories to guide your submission. The nominee does not need to have contributed in all areas.

The selection committee considers the following attributes during the review process:

• Type of contribution: Time; Expertise; Leadership and Financial.

• Magnitude of contribution: Effort; Duration; Scope of influence required (individual/team/Society/GR community).

• Impact on AHSGR (aligned with the current strategic plan): Ensures financial stability of AHSGR; Expands reach of AHSGR; Strengthens partnerships in Germans from Russia community.

• Served as Committee Chair, Officer or President of the AHSGR Board Directors, and as such has contributed significantly to the official operations of the Society

• Headed or participated significantly in a fundraising campaign for the Society

• Contributed significant volunteer labor at the Heritage Center

• Wrote and published articles or information for AHSGR Journal or Newsletter

• Authored or translated a book published by AHSGR

• Made significant contributions to Genealogical Research efforts

• Presented lectures, papers, or discussions benefiting the Society or membership

• Helped develop and/or manage programs for the Society
