AHSGR is excited to share our newest addition to our Digital Imaging Lab. Thanks to a generous grant from the Peck Stacpoole Foundation, we recently purchased a Nikon D850 DSLR Camera, a copy stand with LED lights, and a Kaiser Book Cradle. The copy stand and book cradle will allow AHSGR to photograph fragile-bound items like books, ledgers, and church records. The book cradle gently flattens the pages while supports protect the spines from damage. The grant also helped AHSGR purchase a portable backdrop and studio lights to help us document and photograph our Museum Object collection. Our Marketing Department will also use the camera to record images and videos of events, new exhibits, visitor experiences, and more. These images and videos will be used to engage our audience via our newsletter, weekly eblasts, website, and social media.
