AHSGR has received three grants that will help finance upcoming projects.
First, the Peck Stacpoole Foundation has granted over $15,000 to AHSGR to “enable increased access to, and preservation of your collections including an upgrade to a web-based collections management platform, to obtain archival quality library/archive shelves and map storage, and to purchase preservation-grade textile artifact exhibit furniture.”
Second, $1,300 was given by the Bohemian Foundation to AHSGR through its Music Event Fund, which will go towards the musical entertainment at the upcoming Convention.
Third, the Nebraska State Historical Society Foundation granted $1,250 to AHSGR to fund a disaster cart. The cart is part of a larger disaster plan being developed and will help staff preserve artifacts in the event of a natural disaster.
AHSGR is grateful for these grants and the opportunities they will open.
