Graf (Samara Province), Russia Family List Records 1878

The colony of Graf, with the Russia name, Krutoyarovka, is located on the Wiesenseite of the Bolshoi Karman River, it is considered one of the Karaman Villages. From the west, Graf is surrounded by the villages of Schaefer, Rohleder, Herzog, Mariental, Chasselois (which was destroyed) and Louis to name a few. The village itself was established on June 10, 1766 with a population of 178 souls, consisting of 40 families., 101 male and 77 female. In 1912 the colony of Graf had a population of 2009 souls. The colony is of the Roman Catholic faith.
