This is a look at everyday life in Ludwigstal, a German village in the Crimea, in the 1880s. The author later became a pastor in the Reformed Church and served in the Black Sea and Volga Regions. Many of his relatives came to America during the years 1891 to 1912. The book includes maps, pictures, and a genealogical appendix.
