Three recorded lectures in the “Your Heritage” series are available to AHSGR members.
The newest addition to this series is Archivist Karen Keehr’s presentation Preserving Your Family Photos and Archives, which highlights the best ways to preserve artifacts of different media.
The page also features Genealogist and AHSGR member Mike Meisinger’s Intro to German Russian Genealogy lecture, which is split into two parts. These videos explain how to find family members from Russia and where from Germany they emigrated. Meisinger’s PowerPoint slides are also available to download.
Last, AHSGR Secretary and Folklore Chair Sheri Ertl’s Find Your Ancestral Village presentation provides an overview on how to start your journey to discover your German Russian roots by showing you how to find your ancestors’ Russian village.
